A Message from Dr. Donald Humphrey,
Principal of Turtle Hook Middle School
Greetings THMS Families,
I encourage you to take a few moments to explore our website and familiarize yourself with all the information available.
We continue to utilize our ability to share information electronically through our website. In addition, our Turtle Hook Families will continue to receive "School Messenger" telephone messages informing you of important events.
Our strong Character Education program will continue moving forward to help our children make good choices. The Character Ed Pillar of the month for May was Compassion. Staff and students spent some time exploring how how we feel in response to another person's problems and how we are motivated to help that person. We encourage our students to embrace the pillars of Character Education. We continue to strive to make THMS a safe place for all to coexist together.
There are many exciting activities going on at THMS. We are working hard to bring quality programs and to engage all our students in learning. We continue to emphasize high expectations for achievement, alignment of the New York State Common Core Standards with our curriculum, and enhanced student/teacher engagement. We will continue our strong relationships with our students and their families.
Here are some important dates and information to note for the month of June:
