On Thursday, January 9th, our team is hosting a community Job & Resource Fair for participants 18+, college students and job seekers looking for entry level work. The Job &Resource Fair will take place at Nassau Coliseum from 4pm -6pm. All participants will receive two tickets to our Long Island Nets game, later that evening. Tip-of begins at 7:00pm. Free Family Event Alert*** The Lawrence Road PTSA and Junior Honor Society are inviting all community members to attend their annual health fair on Saturday, November 9th at 3 p.m. There will be workshops on preventative health, free health screenings, narcan training, zumba, line dancing and much more. Superintendent’s brief - October 2024 “Each day offers a fresh chance to create meaning, purpose and joy.” Dr. Monique Darrisaw-Akil As our scholars are entering the second month of school they are settling into routines and creating the habits that will carry them throughout the year. It is important that we continue to foster the joy and excitement of the first day of school by maintaining a positive attitude, being prepared for school both physically and emotionally and challenging ourselves to keep going in the face of a challenge. It is the habits that we practice every day that will determine our degree of success. I encourage families to take some time and review your child’s habits and set a goal to practice one new positive school habit this month.
